Pain & Gain review by FAT Mike

Based on a true story about a story, a group of steroid-abusing bodybuilders engage in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida.

I didn’t have high hopes for PAIN AND GAIN but I stuck it out; especially when I looked up how true this ridicules and outrageous story was true (90% of this movie is true facts). The cast of PAIN AND GAIN works well together Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Tony Shalhoub, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Rebel Wilson, Ken Jeong and a quick cameo by WWE legend and 1996 Olympic Gold Medal winner Kurt Angle. I can see Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson working together again soon. PAIN AND GAIN is a dark comedy, it’s got a lot of cheap but good laughs and when it goes dark it goes DARK. A lot of people didn’t enjoy the different camera angles, I DID, only once I complained about where Michael Bay set up the camera. With a this ridicules and outrageous true story, a good cast, cheap but good laughs and really really dark scenes Michael Bay surprised me. Turn your brain off and go for the ride. Cheers and remember life will never suck as long as there is a GOOD movie to watch.
