MAN OF STEEL review by: FAT Mike

 

A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind

 

Let me start by saying I’m not a superman fan BUT Zack Snyder made me want to give him a second chance! I enjoyed the realistic telling of the superman story; the origin story is cut up but in good way. The film picks up and goes and doesn’t stop for a fast 2 and half hours. This film is beautifully shot; the fight scenes are intense and over the top. But at times it felt like I was watching someone play mortal kombat vs. DC and that they wanted to make more destruction then the Avenger. The whole cast was amazing; Henry Cavill as Superman was spot on and Michael Shannon is the ideal villain.
I’m not saying this is the best superhero movie made but after the disappointment of Superman Returns this is what Superman deserves.

With a realistic telling of the superman this film is a must see. Cheers and remember life will never suck as long as there is a GOOD movie to watch.
