MACHETE KILLS review by FAT Mike

 

In the sequel to Robert Rodriguez’s 2010 film Machete, The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.

 

I’m a big fan of B movies and I also really enjoyed Grindhouse and the first Machete film. Machete Kills is way over the top from start to finish. The movie is non-stop over the top ridiculous action, which is fun but you can tell they try to be much more over the top then the first film. Like all of  Robert Rodriguez’s films, the stars talent is really great with Danny Trejo, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara, Antonio Banderas, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lady Gaga and Carlos Estevez himself Charlie Sheen as Mr. President. The cast on paper looks outrageously ridiculous but they work really well together. The story is entertaining and faster paced than the first film. This film has good laughs, good one liners and is an amped up sequel.

 

With non-stop action, some good laughs, rememberable one liners, awesome cast and from start to finish the movie is non-stop over the top ridiculous action. If you are a fan of the first Machete you will most likely enjoy Machete kills. Cheers and remember life will never suck as long as there is a GOOD movie to watch.
