Oblivion review by FAT Mike

One of the few remaining drone repairmen named Jack Harper (Tom Cruise) assigned to Earth, its surface devastated after decades of war with the alien Scavs, discovers a crashed spacecraft with contents that bring into question everything he believed about the war, and may even put the fate of mankind in his hands.

I had high hopes for OBLIVION…and my hopes were crusted!. The story seems like it would be good but it turns out to be the a story we’ve seen a thousand times before. It’s very predictable and I had more fun making fun of the movie then watching it. I did like seeing Tom Cruise try to do a sci-fi movie and I always like to see the legendary Morgan Freeman but they alone can’t save this movie. Andrea Riseborough felt flat and had a kind of emotionless face; I could care less about her character. The CG on earth near the end looked terrible and really took me out of the movie. And the ending is crap! Just crap! If you HAVE seen OBLIVION this is exactly how it should of ended! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rf5QwVAAxg&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PL3B8939169E1256C0

With a predictable story, a crap co star, bad cg, and a terrible ending OBLIVION is not a movie to get your hopes up to watch. Cheers and remember life will never suck as long as there is a GOOD movie to watch.
